Attendance
Research supports that scholastic achievement is closely related to a student’s pattern of attendance. Regular and punctual attendance is expected of all students.
- Parents/guardians are required to notify the school office (952-442-4165 or attendance@trinitywaconia.org) by 8 am on the day their child is absent. The school office will notify teachers.
- Parents are encouraged to plan doctor appointments and vacations around the school day and calendar. If possible, please avoid picking up students immediately before, after, or during chapel (Wednesdays at 8:15 am).
- Students will not be dismissed from their classroom until the office has notified the teacher that the parent/guardian has arrived.
For full details on Trinity's Attendance Policy, please reference the Parent/Student Handbook.
What should I do if my child is sick?
Students will be excluded from school when they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
- Oral temperature over 100 degrees
- Undiagnosed rash
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Breathing difficulties
Students should not return to school if their temperature is over 100 degrees without medication. Students should be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school after vomiting or diarrhea. Any additional questions or concerns may be directed to our school nurse at trinitynurse@trinitywaconia.org.
